Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California Energy Study

Detailed energy study (ASHRAE Level II) of 17 tribal facilities totaling 107,554 square feet, including energy conservation and renewable energy measure analysis, as well as blower door testing and infrared thermal imaging.  Anticipated energy cost savings were $22,664 at an implementation cost of $201,369, for a total simple payback of 8.9 years.  Measures identified and analyzed included programmable thermostats, occupancy sensing thermostats, lighting retrofits, lighting controls, HVAC system equipment replacement, envelop insulation, demand controlled ventilation, evaporator controls, and preventative maintenance.
