Energy Star Score Increases Building Value
Energy Star is a respected label that recognizes your business for the energy efficient solutions you implement. The benefits of using Energy Star include significant direct financial savings from reduced energy use, improved building occupancy, and greater building asset value as cited in a study prepared by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The U.S. EPA’s Energy Star program has developed energy performance rating systems for several commercial and institutional building types and manufacturing facilities. These ratings, on a scale of 1 to 100, provide a means for benchmarking the energy efficiency of specific buildings and industrial plants against the energy performance of similar facilities. The ratings are used by building and energy managers to evaluate the energy performance of existing buildings and industrial plants. The rating systems are also used by the EPA to determine if a building or plant can qualify to earn Energy Star recognition. To validate the Statement of Energy Performance, a licensed professional must be a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect and possess a current license and be in good standing.
Bolder Energy can assist clients to obtain their Energy Star score. We will review building data, enter the data into Portfolio Manager, verify the Statement of Energy Performance to receive the building score, and update building information on an ongoing basis.
Bolder Energy can also work with a client to meet city and state benchmarking requirements.
