In this communications center, with dominating cooling requirements and large electric loads, a small change goes a long way for energy and cost savings. BEE provided an ASHRAE Level II Energy Assessment, identifying measures which could be implemented by Retro-commissioning, saving $32,000 per year, and finding rebates to bring the simple payback period for these measures down to just 9 months. Additional controls and equipment upgrades were investigated, with $26,000 yearly savings and a 4-year simple payback period possible.
